Wyldewood - With a potential of 12,000 lbs. per acre, this variety is an enthusiastic producer! Most stems occur with three umbels that are first to reach bud break of the majority of varieties and ripen later in the season. Wyldewood is the first varietal to be released by the University of Missouri. Indeterminate

Elderberries are semi self-fertile, but for higher yields, it is advisable to plant multiple varieties.

So far pretty good

I ordered a package of three cuttings and planted them in tree containers until the danger of frost is over here in NC. Two of the three cutting have sprouted. I don’t thing the third cutting is going to make it.

No growth

Too cold to put out yet so started in pots under hot caps in house. My Ranch cuts are doing great. The Wildwood look like dead sticks. Please advise

Hey Carolyn,

Cuttings can take 4-6 weeks to start showing growth, so hang in there!!!
