Ranch - Harsh conditions and poorer soil are no problem for this aptly named varietal. The shorter, stocky shape offers a lower fruiting canopy, and berries are produced on single stems. Earliest Determinate

Elderberries are semi-self-fertile, but for higher yields, it is advisable to plant multiple varieties.

All elderberry are sold with a minimum of 3 sticks with 2+ nodes each. Please see the photos for bundle sizes and examples of what you get.

Non-GMO Commitment: At Growing Farmers and The Farm on Central, all our plants are guaranteed non-GMO and not genetically modified in any way, upholding natural breeding methods and promoting sustainable gardening and farming practices.

Good growth

The ranch is a little slower growing than the bob gordon Two of the ten are slow to sprout but overall they are doing well.

Hey there, Denise
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our elderberries. We are glad to hear that overall, they are doing well. Elderberry cuttings can take up to 6 weeks before you see growth, so the two slower ones may just need a little more time. Happy gardening!

All but one

I’m very happy to say most of my elderberry cuttings that I received are growing nicely in their pots. Only one (which is a much smaller cutting than the rest) is showing no signs of life.

Excited About Elderberries

Working on my second batch of elderberry planting! All varieties from Growing Farmers seem to be good quality. Hoping to create a market for them in my hometown! Any issues with orders were resolved quickly and Growing Farmers is good to work with!

Quickly Acclamated

Order a variety of elderberry cuttings. I immediately put them in miracle grow under a grow light. All the cuttings began rooting within 3 days. They seem to be very healthy and active.

A little disappointed

I got the cold climate 6 pack bundle and 3 extra Adams. Everything survived except 2 of the ones I really wanted..the Ranch ones. I already have some York elderberry trees and I was trying to infuse some different pollinators. I guess that's the chance you take.
